Our Mission
Transforming Haitian communities with clean water, green energy and a solid infrastructure.
Our number one goal at Save Haiti is to transform. We are dedicated to the families and communities of Haiti, working hard to ensure they can thrive and prosper for many years to come through a variety of causes.
Can you imagine your life without reliable power or electricity? Without clean water for cooking or, more importantly, for drinking? For many Haitian families this is everyday reality. Save Haiti has planned efficient, reliable sources of green energy that can change the way Haitian families and communities live day to day, along with a desalination program to turn ocean water into clean water for drinking and cooking.
At Save Haiti we are dedicated to
- Identifying a hydroelectric power source and using it to provide Haitian communities with reliable, green power
- Developing solar and wind farms for electric power
- Exploring ocean-water pumping systems to generate electricity
- Desalinating ocean water for clean drinking water
- Boosting infrastructure: transportation, city planning, clean water access and the sustainable collection and treatment of sewage
Not only will all of the above contribute to a better quality of life for Haitian families, it will improve water access for the country as a whole — and better sanitation with clean water access helps minimize the spread of disease. Our outlook also promotes opening healthcare facilities that use green energy and a clean water system. Overall, reducing mortality and the spread of disease is our ultimate goal.
